Youth Advantage is sad to share that our Board member Jennifer Siedow's son passed away recently. Nathan Martindale, a SAHS graduate, was an avid athletic participant and fan. They have chosen Youth Advantage to receive donations in lieu of flowers. Nathan's memory will continue to live on through these gifts which help children, whose families cannot afford the fees, find and pursue their passions in the sports that Nathan loved, including hockey, golf, football, and baseball. We hold Jennifer and the rest of Nathan's family and friends close in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Nathan Ryan Martindale, 23, of Bloomington, MN, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2022.
Nathan was born on January 29, 1999 to Ryan Martindale and Jennifer Siedow in Burnsville, MN. Nathan graduated from Stillwater High School in 2017. He went on to study business at California State University San Marcos and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration with a minor in finance.
Nathan was the oldest of three children. He loved sports- both playing and watching- including hockey, golf, football and baseball. He enjoyed watching the sunset at Sunset Cliffs and walking around Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. He loved to work out. He adored his younger brothers and his cat Ash.
Nathan is survived by his parents, Jennifer (Chris) Siedow and Ryan (Nikki) Martindale; brothers, Nicholas and Andrew Martindale; grandparents, John and Adrienne Deblon and Barb Martindale; step brothers, Alex (Kaylie) Siedow, Matt Siedow, and Jack Siedow; and cousin, Sara Zeigler. Nathan was greeted in heaven by his grandfather, Bill Martindale; and uncle, Shawn Martindale; along with his beloved dog, Jake.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nathan's memory to Youth Advantage (https://youthadvantage.org/). Nathan was an avid sports fan and participant. Youth Advantage helps kids in the Stillwater Schools area with financial assistance to participate in athletics, arts, and educational-enrichment opportunities.
