NEW BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING:In addition to the fun and meaningful weekly meetings, we are adding some wonderful perks for being a consistent member of the BBG group. Pre-COVID, we had occasional outings to concerts (Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Tori Kelly are a few of the concerts that the Brave Bold Girls group have enjoyed). We have field trips to various venues, including an art studio where you can make your own art project with professional supplies, an exercise studio that focuses on body alignment and proper breathing techniques (so you feel good every day without achy joints as you get older), swim outings, cooking outings, sledding outings, horse and flower farm visits, and so much more! We have a holiday gathering at a nice restaurant where you are served tea and dessert and you can get dressed up for it!

As the members of the group advance in grades, we want you to stick with Brave Bold Girls, ideally until you graduate from high school, and we will keep the group's activities and learning opportunities age-appropriate so it stays interesting for you. We will be offering incentives such as paying for your Driver Education when you turn 14.5 years old (or whenever you are ready for it after that age). We want to learn when all of your birthdays are so we can have big celebrations to celebrate YOU! If you play an instrument in your school's band or orchestra, or you sing in the high school choir, we want to help you attend the trips that these groups take in high school as we know that there are SO many benefits for you to participate in band, orchestra, or choir!

Please contact Youth Advantage to find out the meeting day/time of the group! The group meets after school and our staff picks the girls up from their schools. The group meets at our office unless it is on an exciting field trip to a local business!

Our focus is to help pre-teen and teenage girls grow healthy and confident from the inside out! We create a safe environment where we can enjoy physical activities, explore interests, have courageous and honest conversations about current challenges girls face, and talk about choices and tips to be brave today so we make better decisions in the future! 

Activities include: 

• Yoga and Relaxation techniques

• Hikes around Stillwater; all seasons!

• Zumba, essential oils, horses, flower garden experiences

• Sledding, body resistance and band work

• Visits to local health and fitness clubs, art studios, creative media centers.

Conversations include: 

• Friendship, Character, Role-models

• Nutrition, Body Confidence and Caring for myself

• Tech and Social Media

• What could my future look like? 

• Resilience, Persistence and Inner Strength
